After months of preparation and anticipation, Dr. Redstone has launched the new Microsurgical Breast Reconstruction Program at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. Dr. Redstone and his colleagues performed the first DIEP flap reconstruction as part of the new program just after Thanksgiving.
The surgery was a success; the patient is recovering comfortably and healing well. Dr. Redstone commented that the launch of the program was "a true collaborative effort amongst the Barnabas Health administration, the breast surgeons, the amazing nurses and all of the support staff."
